When seeking greater stability, attach the Boca Edge to the top of your shank. This placement provides additional stability by keeping the cheek pieces on the bridle straight and directing the pull toward the horse’s poll. Positioned on the upper portion of the shank, the Boca Edge ensures that the bit remains upright at the corners of the mouth, rather than hanging loosely from the cheek pieces. This setup stabilizes the bit, maintaining its position until rein action is applied.

2. Increased Leverage and Control

Another powerful application of the Boca Edge Noseband is when your bit has a designated attachment point for a noseband, usually found in the center of the shank's purchase. Connecting the Boca Edge here increases leverage when rein pressure is applied, allowing the bit to engage more effectively.
